TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY

In an interview with The Post and Courier, former Darlington County GOP chairman, Senator JD Chaplin, is quoted saying, “Arthur missed her opportunity to become a delegate because she was arguing with a fellow attendee in the parking lot after a resounding defeat in her bid to lead the local convention.”

That statement by Senator JD Chaplin, which was published in The Post and Courier, is a bold-face lie and was intended to defame me and/or hide his illegal activities. Because the DCRP Convention was rigged, I would not participate in the illegal proceedings, and I quietly walked out of the building. There was no one in the parking lot when I walked out. No one. Everyone was still inside the building.

To say that I “missed my opportunity to become a delegate” because I was outside arguing with someone, I will repeat, IS A BOLD-FACE LIE.

I was not voted a delegate because:

1) Senator JD Chaplin chose not to provide a ballot to allow the people to vote, per SCGOP Form 1, and

2) in violation of State Law and SCGOP Rules, JD Chaplin presented an illegal slate of pre-selected delegates purposely leaving my name off in an attempt to STOP my nomination for State Chair at the SCGOP State Convention.

Such actions by a sitting Senator are reprehensible and should not go without consequences.
